JOIN US ON A TRIP:

Join us for a meaningful 3D2N trip to Batam, just an hour away by ferry from Singapore! During this trip, you’ll join us in running our Educational Tour, designed to inspire village children and their families to grow an interest for learning. Through a skit, songs, dance, and games, you’ll get to spark their interest for learning through fun and engaging ways.

You’ll also be part of our Campfire Nights, a gathering with the city’s youths that is filled with food, music, genuine friendships, and conversations.

CONTEXT:

The Educational Tour was started to increase school enrolment among children in rural villages. As ensuring education for children is not a priority for many parents, they were reluctant to send their children to school or even attend the free tuition programs run by our partner organization, despite these programs being conducted in their villages. However, through the tours, the parents began entrusting their children with our NGO partner for education and development. Over the years, we’ve seen thousands of these children enrolled into schools — a huge step towards greater social equality and transformed families through the power of education.

Meanwhile, our Campfire Nights are gatherings for anyone and everyone to come together to be inspired to see change in their own lives and the world around them. These gatherings are filled with music, talks and opportunities to build meaningful friendship. We engage thought leaders, CEOs, changemakers and influencers who are leading social change in their respective field to share their insights. The goal? A space for connection, vision, and action — where youths leave inspired and ready to contribute to their own communities.

DAY 1:

— Ferry to Batam from HarbourFront Centre

— Meeting with Colours Indonesia coordinator and team

— "Campfire Night" with the city youths

DAY 2:

— Brunch

— "Educational Tour" in Batam villages

— Dinner and debrief

DAY 3:

— Breakfast

— Ferry back to Singapore

14th October — 730pm - 930pm (Physical Session)

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you find it necessary to cancel your participation after payment has been made, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total event cost will be applicable and it will go directly to the project cost.
