ABOUT THE TRIP:

Located less than a 2 hour-drive from Singapore, come join us as we seek to serve and uplift the Rohingya Community in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Over a period of two days, we will be meeting with the Rohingya community, running a workshop for Rohingya youths and an educational carnival for Rohingya children.

CONTEXT:

The workshop and educational carnival that we run are part of the wider vision of providing a holistic education and support for the Rohingya children and youths in Johor Bahru. In all of our work at the Rohingya Community Hub, we believe in Education as a vehicle of change that will give the Rohingya an ability to learn, develop their mind and even prepare them in a career to be active and contributing members of society. By offering a blend of structured curriculum and exciting events like carnivals and workshops, we foster a rich learning environment that sparks curiosity and fun for children.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1:

— Travel to Johor Bahru from Woodlands Checkpoint

— Lunch/Meeting with Colours Malaysia coordinator and team

— Workshop and activities with Rohingya youths

DAY 2:

— Breakfast

— Educational Carnival for Rohingya Children

— Lunch and debrief at Rohingya Community Hub

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you find it necessary to cancel your participation after payment has been made, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total event cost will be applicable and it will go directly to the project cost. 100% reimbursement will only be granted in cases where a valid medical certificate is provided. The medical certificate must clearly state the inability to attend due to health reasons. For cancellations due to reasons other than medical conditions, such as late arrival, schedule clashes, or change of plans, will not grant a 100% reimbursement.
